How to Place a Pattern Grading Order

  4. Wait for an email confirmation from us.
  5. Upload Grading Specs & Gerber or DXF files.

Don’t Have Grading Specs? No Problem. Tell us how much you want your design to grow per size in the following areas:

  • Collar to Shoulder: Measure from the middle of the collar down to the tip of the shoulder.
  • Shoulder to Sleeve: Measure from the tip of the shoulder down to the bottom of the sleeve.
  • Shoulder to Shoulder: Measure from the corner of one shoulder across to the other shoulder. This is crucial, as shoulder widths can vary even among people wearing the same size.
  • Upper Arm Width: Measure across the middle of the upper arm, from one side of the sleeve to the other. This is important for ensuring the sleeve fits well around the biceps.
  • Forearm Width: Measure across the middle of the forearm, from one side of the sleeve to the other.
  • Chest Width: Measure from the bottom of one armhole across the chest to the bottom of the opposite armhole.
  • Waist Width: Measure where the natural waist would fall, typically a bit lower than halfway down the jacket, from one side across to the other.
  • Front Length: Measure from the middle of the collar down vertically to the bottom of the jacket.
  • Hip Width: Measure from one bottom corner of the jacket across to the other.
  • Sleeve Hole Width: Measure the width of the sleeve hole by placing the measuring tape at one corner of the sleeve hole and pulling it across to the other side.

Our pattern graders will break down all your measurements to resize your design. Here’s an example:
