Digitizing Policy

At Smart Pattern Making, we offer digitizing services exclusively for duplications or copies of original designs or patterns provided by the customer. We do not accept original, one-of-a-kind designs for digitizing.

Data Protection and Destruction:

  • Upon completion of the digitizing process, all duplicate or copied pattern pieces provided to us will be destroyed using secure and confidential methods to ensure data protection and confidentiality.

  • In the event of project cancellation, all duplicate or copied patterns in our possession will be destroyed. We do not return any patterns to the customer.

Customer Responsibility:

  • Customers are responsible for retaining their original designs and ensuring that only duplicate or copied patterns are submitted for digitizing.

Packaging Instructions:

  • To submit patterns for digitizing, customers are advised to package them securely by utilizing 2 pieces of cardboard or a cardboard tube.

Usage of Digitizing Services: Our digitizing services are utilized by various industries including:

    Downloads: Since www.smartpatternmaking.com is offering non-tangible irrevocable goods, refunds are not issued once the order is completed and the product is sent. Customers are responsible for understanding this when making a purchase. However, exceptional circumstances may warrant a refund, and we do honor requests for the following reasons:

    • Non-Delivery of the Product:

      • If you do not receive a delivery email from us due to mailing issues of your email provider or your mail server, please contact our Billing department in writing within 7 days from the order placing date. Otherwise, the product will be considered received and downloaded.
    • Download and Unzipping Issues:

      • Claims regarding download and unzipping issues must be submitted to our Technical Support department at support@smartpatternmaking.com. Failure to receive assistance within 3 days may result in a refund decline.
    • Major Defects:

      • Unexpected errors may occur despite thorough testing before release. Any issues must be submitted for approval by our Technical Support Team at support@smartpatternmaking.com. If approved and not corrected within 72 hours from the initial complaint, a full refund will be issued or a replacement product offered.
    • Product Not-As-Described:

      • Issues should be reported to our Technical Support Department at support@smartpatternmaking.com within 7 days from the date of purchase, with clear evidence proving that the purchased product does not match its description.
    • Incompatibility with Third-Party Software:

      • Refund/return/exchange requests based on incompatibility with third-party software are not honored unless specified as compatible on the product's preview page.

      • Download links expire 6 hours from the time of purchase.
